Job Description

Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer - Project Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead our engineering team in delivering high-quality projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead engineering teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement engineering processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet customer requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including identifying new business opportunities and developing proposals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve engineering processes and deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant discipline.
  • Significant experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a leadership or technical specialist role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including health and safety.
