Regulatory Compliance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Specialist to join our Water Quality and Environment team at Severn Trent. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of our annual wastewater sampling and analysis plans, as well as managing our regulatory obligations with the Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver the annual wastewater sampling and analysis plans for Operator Self-Monitoring and Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive (UWWTD) regulatory obligations.
- Manage the day-to-day workload of two Waste Water Monitoring Advisors, including forecasting spend and providing advice on wastewater monitoring requirements.
- Be the main point of contact for the Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales for OSM and UWWTR monitoring, analytical, data return, and regulatory queries.
- Lead the Environment Agency's and Natural Resources Wales annual Operator Monitoring Assessment (OMA) Audit.
- Provide interpretation on waste water monitoring requirements to internal stakeholders and engineering consultants.
- Knowledge of the water industry regulatory arena, environmental regulations, and environmental management systems.
- Experience planning and delivering regulatory sample plans for wastewater or water.
- Excellent people management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with regulators and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage your own workload.
- Experience in the use of MS Office tools, including Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
- Relevant experience in an environmental discipline, such as environmental chemistry, hydrology, hydrogeology, or water management.
- A full UK driving license is required for travel.
