Head of Compliance

Calex, a specialist training and consultancy organisation, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Compliance to join our team. As a key member of our Compliance Department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our business operates in compliance with regulatory requirements and maintains a strong reputation in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide regulatory compliance advice to the business on all FCA regulatory matters
- Maintain and update the Compliance Manual, Compliance Monitoring plan, and other associated compliance documentation
- Deliver ad hoc compliance training on new initiatives and work with training to develop regulatory training for all staff
- Drive a culture of compliance across the group with a focus on the voice of the customer
- Take the lead to ensure the business has effective systems, procedures, and controls for compliance with requirements and standards under the regulatory system
- A relevant degree, legal qualification, or equivalent compliance certification
- Proven compliance professional with up-to-date industry compliance/regulatory framework knowledge in consumer credit and insurance distribution activities
- Proven compliance advisory experience and experience of providing written and verbal advice to 1st Line business areas on the implications of regulatory requirements
- Detailed technical knowledge and understanding of FCA sourcebooks – PRIN, CONC, DISP, SYSC, PROD, and legislative frameworks such as Consumer Credit, Data Protection Act, including GDPR
- A competitive salary of £58,000 – £65,000 dependent on experience

This is a hybrid position, with the expectation of a minimum of 1 day a week in the office. There will also be some regular business travel expected. Working Hours Monday to Friday.
