Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Building Surveyor to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our construction consultancy, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality projects and providing exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Management: You will be responsible for pre and post-contract cost management activities, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Contract Advice: You will provide expert advice on contract arrangements and conditions, ensuring that our clients' interests are protected.
  • Client Management: You will manage client relationships and develop strong working partnerships, ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service.
  • Team Leadership: You will lead and influence other cost managers within the team, providing guidance and support to ensure that projects are delivered to the highest standard.
  • Budgeting: You will be responsible for budgeting and cost management, ensuring that projects are delivered within budget.

Requirements:

  • NEC Contracts: You will have experience of using NEC contracts and be able to provide expert advice on their application.
  • Qualifications: You will hold a relevant degree qualification (RICS accredited or equivalent) and have a strong understanding of the construction industry.
  • Commercial Experience: You will have proven experience in a commercially focused role, with a strong understanding of cost management and contract administration.
  • Project Experience: You will have relevant project experience, with a strong understanding of the construction process and the ability to manage complex projects.
  • JCT Contracts: You will have experience of JCT contracts and be able to provide expert advice on their application.
