About the Role:
Brandon James, a leading construction consultancy, is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their Reading office. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist an Associate Quantity Surveyor on a mix of education, healthcare, MOD, and residential projects.
- Develop and implement cost management strategies to optimize project profitability.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate cost estimates, forecasts, and reporting.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and provide solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Completed a Construction-related/Quantity Surveying degree.
- 2+ years of Quantity Surveying experience, preferably in a UK PQS/Consultancy environment.
- Proven experience in pre- and post-contract management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
