What will you be doing?

Financial Operations & Invoicing:

Ensure precise entry of all relevant payments into the financial records and associated systems to guarantee timely disbursements. Verify that contributions from other local authorities are accurately documented, and invoices are issued promptly. Maintain consistency and accuracy in recording all financial data across various systems, ensuring proper storage in designated directories. Provide financial reports to relevant management as needed to adhere to regulatory standards. Conduct all tasks in compliance with the Council's financial regulations, national charging guidelines, and departmental policies. Ensure that all invoices, bills, and related correspondence sent to external authorities are precise, meet quality benchmarks, and follow established procedures. Accurately set up all suppliers, caregivers, and young individuals to facilitate correct payment processing. Display adaptability in response to changes and the implementation of new systems and service requirements.

Client Relations:

Address and resolve all client inquiries, including service cessation. Proactively manage client queries regarding payments and charges. Document, investigate, and sensitively resolve client issues, escalating complex matters to management as necessary. Ensure that all interactions are handled with a client-focused approach.

Financial Assistance:

Aid in monitoring and managing budgets in line with County Council financial protocols. Ensure adherence to County Council financial processes and systems. Perform financial support tasks as needed to enhance service delivery. Foster team collaboration and knowledge sharing to bolster team resilience and operational efficiency.

Debt Management:

Identify and investigate debt-related issues, providing solutions where feasible.

About you

Familiarity with Microsoft Office and experience with financial software such as ContrOCC or ERP systems is advantageous. Comprehensive training and professional development opportunities will be provided.

Previous experience in invoicing, payment processing, and financial operations is preferred. AAT qualifications or equivalent credentials would be beneficial.

Candidates should possess at least 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English at grade C or above, and have experience in a finance or office setting.
