About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for leading a team of care staff, providing person-centred care and support to our residents, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of care staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality care services.
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of our residents.
  • Administer and order medication, review and update resident care plans, and liaise with GP's, district nursing teams, and resident family members.
  • Support the recruitment and training of new staff members, ensuring they are equipped to provide high-quality care services.

About You

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality care services, has excellent leadership and communication skills, and is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will have a strong understanding of care principles and practices, and be able to demonstrate a commitment to delivering person-centred care.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
  • Previous experience in a residential care setting, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care services.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
