We are looking for an IT Support Specialist to become a vital part of our growing team. Reporting directly to our Service Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for providing first and second line support to Forseven employees, facilitating the enhancement and development of our IT services. Collaborating closely with our external service desk provider and the broader IT team, you will serve as the on-site technical support presence, helping to maintain our IT infrastructure.

This essential role will be performed on-site from our offices. The successful candidate will have the chance to collaborate with some of the most innovative thinkers in the automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritize assigned tickets based on their impact on the business.
  • Troubleshoot IT issues promptly and positively.
  • Ensure new employees or those transferring locations are set up correctly.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of IT supplies necessary for operational efficiency.
  • Support various projects across the organization as needed.
  • Provide support for PLM applications.

Qualifications

  • Possess or be willing to pursue a related NVQ Level 3 qualification.
  • A valid driving license is preferred.
  • Previous experience in IT support is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Windows and macOS environments.
  • Basic understanding of networking principles.
  • Experience with PLM applications.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients and within a support team.
  • Strong analytical skills to resolve issues logically and methodically.
  • Excellent listening skills to understand technical problems and provide clear feedback.
  • Maintain a calm and positive demeanor, especially during challenging technical issues.
  • Professional and confident telephone communication skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
