Job Opportunity: Maintenance Specialist

At Airswift, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This is a 12-month contract position based in Sunbury/London, with a focus on ensuring maintenance readiness and supporting the safe execution of maintenance work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Activity Readiness: Prepare work packs for efficient execution on the offshore facility, ensuring that all necessary tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop Maintenance Scopes: Create detailed scopes for turnarounds (TARs), major repairs, and complex corrective tasks, taking into account the specific needs of the facility and the equipment being maintained.
  • Support Maintenance Technicians: Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance technicians, helping them to troubleshoot issues and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Optimize Equipment Maintenance: Use predictive technologies to recommend optimal equipment maintenance schedules, ensuring that equipment is properly maintained and minimizing downtime.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement: Lead the continuous improvement of the Preventative Maintenance Program, ensuring that updates are made to the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and that best practices are implemented.
  • Participate in Root Cause Failure Analyses: Participate in Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFA) and support maintenance investigations, helping to identify and resolve the root causes of equipment failures.
  • Facilitate Communication: Serve as the key link between the onshore Integration & Maintenance squad and the offshore execution squad, facilitating communication and ensuring that all parties are informed and aligned.

Desired Experience:

  • Technical Degree or Equivalent Experience: A technical degree or equivalent experience in maintenance, engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Hands-on Experience: Hands-on experience as a maintenance technician or in site-based work is essential.
  • Offshore Experience: Strong understanding of offshore facilities and typical operational equipment is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP PM and Microsoft Office is necessary.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams are essential.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to work independently and innovatively solve high-value problems is required.
  • Site Experience: Site experience, including experience with projects offshore, is highly valued.

Bonus Skills:

  • Start-up Experience: Experience in starting up new assets or operating in new regions is a bonus.
  • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile methodologies like ADO or Scrum is a plus.
