About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineering Lead to join our team at Premier Group Recruitment. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data systems and architectures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data pipelines and architectures using Azure Synapse and Azure Data Lake
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure data processing applications using Python, Pyspark, and T-SQL
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop data-driven solutions
  • Lead and mentor junior data engineers to ensure the success of the team
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer or Lead Data Engineer with a strong background in cloud infrastructure and data engineering
  • Expertise in Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Python, Pyspark, and T-SQL
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
