About the Company:


Interaction Technical collaborates with a prominent manufacturer of Agricultural Engineering Equipment based in the Dorset area to enhance their engineering team.

As the business expands, our client seeks to recruit an electromechanical field engineer to service, maintain, and repair a variety of agricultural machinery in and around the Dorchester area.


Compensation Package:

  • Competitive salary between £30,000-£40,000 based on experience, with an OTE of £45,000-£50,000+
  • 32 days of annual leave including bank holidays, increasing with tenure
  • Overtime available at 1.5X during weekdays, x2 on Sundays and Bank Holidays
  • Holiday overtime pay - compensated in May (£1,500 paid last year)
  • Commitment to ongoing training and career advancement

  • Company vehicle, Fuel Card, mobile phone, etc.
  • All travel time and expenses covered from home to/from site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose faults accurately, perform servicing, and conduct emergency repairs on agricultural machinery (tractors, combines, balers, etc.)
  • Travel to customer locations to ensure machinery is maintained and repaired to the highest standards.
  • Conduct diagnostics to identify mechanical and electrical issues on agricultural and horticultural equipment
  • Work independently at customer sites while collaborating with colleagues to ensure proper documentation and optimal solutions are provided.
  • Engage in work involving engines, batteries, and hydraulics, along with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Communicate with clients to diagnose issues and develop effective solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical skills (essential)
  • Background in the Agricultural industry (essential)
  • Experience in electrical and/or mechanical fault finding, repair, and servicing (advantageous)
  • Familiarity with engines and batteries (advantageous)
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
  • Valid UK Driver's License
