About the Company:


Interaction Technical is collaborating with a prominent manufacturer of Agricultural Engineering Equipment located in the Dorset area to enhance their engineering workforce.

As the business expands, our client seeks to recruit an electromechanical field engineer to service, maintain, and repair a variety of agricultural machinery in and around the Dorchester area.


Compensation Package:

  • Competitive salary ranging from £30,000-£40,000 based on experience, with an OTE of £45,000-£50,000+
  • 32 days of paid leave including public holidays, increasing with tenure
  • Overtime opportunities available at 1.5X during weekdays, and double on Sundays and public holidays
  • Holiday overtime compensation - paid in May (£1,500 disbursed last year)

  • All travel time and expenses covered from home to job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Precisely diagnosing faults, servicing, and executing emergency repairs on agricultural machinery (tractors, combines, balers, etc.)
  • Traveling to client locations to ensure all machinery is maintained and repaired to the highest standards.
  • Conducting diagnostics to identify mechanical and electrical issues on agricultural and horticultural equipment
  • Ability to work independently at customer sites while collaborating with colleagues to ensure accurate documentation and optimal solutions.
  • Engaging with engines, batteries, and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Communicating with clients to diagnose issues and provide effective solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with hydraulics, as well as mechanical and electrical skills (essential)
  • Background in the agricultural sector (essential)
  • Experience in electrical and/or mechanical fault diagnosis, repair, and maintenance (advantageous)
  • Familiarity with engines and batteries (advantageous)
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
  • Valid UK Driver's License
