About the Company:


Interaction Technical collaborates with a leading manufacturer in Agricultural Engineering Equipment located in the Dorset region to enhance their engineering workforce.

As the business expands, our client seeks to recruit an electromechanical field engineer to service, maintain, and repair a variety of agricultural machinery in and around the Dorchester area.


Benefits Package:

  • Competitive salary ranging from £30,000-£40,000 based on experience, with an OTE of £45,000-£50,000+
  • 32 days of annual leave including public holidays, increasing with tenure
  • Overtime opportunities available at 1.5X during weekdays, and double time on Sundays and public holidays

Key Responsibilities:

  • Precisely diagnosing faults, servicing, and executing emergency repairs on agricultural machinery (tractors, combines, balers, etc.)
  • Traveling to client locations to ensure machinery is maintained and repaired to the highest standards.
  • Conducting diagnostics to identify mechanical and electrical issues on agricultural and horticultural equipment
  • Ability to work autonomously at customer sites while collaborating with colleagues to ensure accurate documentation and optimal solutions.
  • Engaging with engines, batteries, and hydraulics, along with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Communicating with clients to diagnose issues and propose effective solutions.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Prior experience with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical skills (essential)
  • Experience in the agricultural sector (essential)
  • Background in electrical and/or mechanical fault diagnosis, repair, and servicing (advantageous)
  • Familiarity with engines and batteries (advantageous)
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
  • Valid UK Driver's License
