Role Overview

As a Security Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in fostering compliance and security relationships with governmental and industry entities. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Building and maintaining security compliance partnerships with national authorities and industry organizations, while engaging with customers and auditors alongside security experts.
2. Mentoring and guiding Security Assurance Analysts within the team, providing constructive and transparent feedback through effective leadership.
3. Upholding the utmost confidentiality of sensitive customer data, ensuring that BT is recognized as a reliable organization.
4. Demonstrating a solid understanding of Information Assurance principles, including the application of frameworks such as CISMP, ISO 27001, PCI, and contractual obligations.
5. Leading ITIL processes and making informed decisions within a defined scope, ensuring that mitigation strategies and incident responses are executed professionally and meet relevant service level agreements.

Essential Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

- Comprehensive experience in an IT position that supports security requirements and accreditations.
- Prior experience in a role focused on IT security.
- At least one recognized certification with current memberships, such as OSCP, CISM, CISA, CISSP, or Lead Auditor ISO 27001.
- Experience in supporting ISO, PCI, or HMG frameworks.
- Valid Government Security Clearance at SC level, requiring a minimum of five years' residency in the UK.
