We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Deputy SENDCo to join our established team at Sheffield Springs Academy. As part of United Learning, our aim is to bring out 'the Best in Everyone' and provide every student with the opportunity to succeed.
Job Summary:The successful post-holder will assist in managing the provision for pupils identified as having Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including promoting high-quality teaching, effective use of resources, and high standards of learning and achievement for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in managing the provision for pupils with SEND, including developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide focused support to students with complex needs, ensuring no student is left behind
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure effective delivery of SEND provision
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND provision, making recommendations for improvement
- Reliable, highly motivated, and self-driven individual
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
