Job Summary:

The successful post-holder will assist in managing the provision for pupils identified as having Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including promoting high-quality teaching, effective use of resources, and high standards of learning and achievement for all pupils. To also provide focused support to students with complex needs, ensuring no student is left behind.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing the provision for pupils with SEND, including developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs).
  • Provide focused support to students with complex needs, including those with autism, ADHD, and other special educational needs.
  • Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and other support staff to ensure that students with SEND receive the support they need to access the curriculum.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents and carers to ensure that they are fully informed and involved in their child's education.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures related to SEND.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Experience of working with students with SEND, including those with complex needs.
