Befriender 'Out and About' Volunteer

Location: Didcot Support Service, Oxfordshire

Time Commitment: Flexible

The Befriender 'Out and About' Volunteer will play a vital role in the lives of the individuals we support at our supported living service in Didcot by being a reliable companion to attend activities they enjoy participating in. These may include going for a walk, attending a concert, going to the cinema, going out for coffee or a meal, etc.

Key Skills and Qualities
  • To be kind, empathetic, and friendly
  • To have a good sense of humour and enjoy chatting
  • To be punctual and reliable
  • To be able to handle information in line with our data protection and confidentiality procedures
  • To be able to assist when necessary with sighted guide/orientation

Please note that you must be over the age of 18 to apply for this role.

About Us

At SeeAbility, we specialise in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism, who may also have sight loss, to achieve their goals every day.
