Job Title: Befriender 'Out and About' Volunteer

Location: SeeAbility Supported Living Service

Time Commitment: Flexible

About the Role:

The Befriender 'Out and About' Volunteer plays a vital role in the lives of individuals at our supported living service. As a reliable companion, you will attend activities with the people we support, fostering meaningful relationships and creating lasting memories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals with learning disabilities and autism
  • Engage in activities and outings with service users, promoting social interaction and community integration
  • Assist with daily tasks and provide practical support as needed
  • Respect confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Age 18 or older
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
