About the Role:
The Befriender 'Out and About' Volunteer plays a vital role in the lives of individuals at our supported living service. As a reliable companion, you will attend activities with the people we support, fostering meaningful relationships and creating lasting memories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals with learning disabilities and autism
- Engage in activities and outings with service users, promoting social interaction and community integration
- Assist with daily tasks and provide practical support as needed
- Respect confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- Age 18 or older
- Reliable and punctual
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
