About the Role

At Humankind, we're committed to providing free, confidential support for individuals struggling with alcohol, drugs, housing, or mental health. We're seeking a skilled Drug and Alcohol Recovery Specialist to join our Forward Leeds team.

We're excited to offer this dynamic and rewarding role, where you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our service users. As a Substance Misuse Coordinator, you'll be responsible for managing a caseload, creating and implementing recovery and treatment plans, and facilitating the progression of individuals through structured treatment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a caseload of individuals with substance use disorders
  • Creating and implementing individualized recovery and treatment plans
  • Facilitating group and individual sessions to promote recovery and well-being
  • Collaborating with key partners and colleagues to achieve the best health and wellbeing outcomes for individuals


We're looking for a highly motivated and compassionate individual with a passion for supporting individuals with substance use disorders. If you have experience working with vulnerable populations and a relevant qualification in Health and Social Care, we'd love to hear from you.
