About the Role

At Humankind, we're committed to providing free, confidential support for individuals struggling with alcohol, drugs, housing, or mental health. We're seeking a skilled Drug and Alcohol Practitioner to join our team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our service users.

Key Responsibilities

As a Drug and Alcohol Practitioner, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a caseload of individuals in recovery, creating and implementing personalized treatment plans.
  • Facilitating the progression of clients from initial engagement to sustained recovery and aftercare.
  • Supporting clients in various treatment stages, from assessment to exiting treatment.
  • Contributing to reducing substance-related harm to individuals and the wider community.
  • Collaborating with key partners and colleagues to achieve the best health and wellbeing outcomes for individuals.


About You

We're looking for an experienced professional with a passion for supporting vulnerable individuals. Desirable criteria for the role include:

  • Experience of holding a caseload.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of substance misuse.
  • Experience supporting individuals affected by alcohol and/or drug use.
  • A relevant qualification in Health and Social Care.
