Job Title: Senior Finance Manager

Hays Senior Finance is partnering exclusively with a leading SME family-owned engineering business based in Stonehouse, with over 50 years of partnering with UK and international businesses.

Job Summary

The Senior Finance Manager will work closely with the Management Team to produce all accounting documents, facilitating board reporting functions for all financial aspects of the firm. The role will involve inputting sales and purchases onto SAP and managing day-to-day reporting required for the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process invoices and credit notes, organize payments, and manage credit control
  • Monthly creation and processing of payroll (Moneysoft), including RTI & pensions submissions and associated staff benefits
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Liaise with an external accountant and assist in the preparation of the year-end accounts
  • Provide reports and updates to the Management Team, as required
  • Management Accountants and KPI analysis
  • Ad-hoc commercial reports for the senior leadership team
  • HR administration
Requirements
  • Ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a finance function within the Engineering sector would be ideal
  • Understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
  • Proficient in the use of SAP and Excel
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and manage relationships at all levels
