Job Title: Finance Manager

Job Summary:

Hays Senior Finance is partnering exclusively with a family-owned engineering business based in Gloucestershire to recruit a Finance Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the Management Team to produce all accounting documents and facilitate board reporting functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process invoices and credit notes, organise payments and manage credit control
  • Monthly creation and processing of payroll, including RTI & pensions submissions and associated staff benefits
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Liaising with an external accountant and assisting in the preparation of the year-end accounts
  • Provide reports and updates to the Management Team, as required
  • Management Accountants and KPI analysis
  • Adhoc commercial reports for the senior leadership team
  • HR administration
Requirements:
  • Ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a finance function within the Engineering sector would be ideal
  • Understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
  • Proficient in the use of SAP and Excel
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and manage relationships at all levels
