Salter Grange Limited is a distinguished and expanding main contractor recognized globally for providing innovative engineering and construction solutions across various technical sectors. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee a significant data centre project.


As a Mechanical Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to lead, manage, and oversee a team of mechanical tradespeople, ensuring that safety standards, quality benchmarks, and project timelines are consistently achieved.


You will work closely with the Mechanical Project Manager and collaborate with other site team members to successfully deliver a state-of-the-art data centre project.


With a legacy of excellence, our contractor has established a strong reputation for reliability and expertise in handling technically demanding projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee site safety in collaboration with the Safety Advisor.
  • Conduct daily and weekly toolbox talks.
  • Manage site quality assurance alongside the Mechanical Package Manager.
  • Assist in updating the Project Schedule in coordination with other trades and relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate onsite coordination of activities with various trades.
  • Oversee all daily operations on-site.
  • Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress against schedules and manpower levels.
  • Participate in site meetings, internal project reviews, engineering reviews, and handover meetings.
  • Attend system walkdowns, both internal and client-focused.
  • Manage and resolve all punch list items.
  • Ensure the correct revision of drawings is utilized for construction activities.
  • Prepare a weekly look-ahead schedule ensuring coordination with other trades.
  • Issue internal weekly progress reports detailing project completion percentages and highlighting any potential risks.
  • Schedule and track material deliveries in alignment with the project timeline.
Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in a supervisory role.
  • Prior experience in construction operations.
  • Professional qualifications as a Fitter or Welder.
  • Trade certification required.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites.
  • Experience in process piping projects.
  • Background in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience in managing, mentoring, and motivating teams to maximize performance.
