About the Role

Douglas Grove Surgery is seeking a skilled receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis, working 15 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a polite and confidential manner, and have experience working with the general public.

Main Responsibilities
  • Greet and direct patients in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Make appointments and issue appointment cards as needed.
  • Accept, issue, and hand out prescriptions, letters, and other documents.
  • Deal with patient inquiries and manage problems and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  • Advise patients on practice procedures and policies.
  • Register new patients and maintain accurate records.
  • Answer the telephone promptly and efficiently.
About the Candidate

We are looking for a highly organized and adaptable individual who is able to work well in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent IT and administration skills, be able to think on their feet, and have a strong customer service focus.

Douglas Grove Surgery is a small teaching practice with a team of 2 GPs, 1 trainee, and 5 nursing staff. We offer a supportive and dynamic work environment, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
