A leading global consumer goods manufacturing business is seeking a seasoned Raw Materials Senior Buyer to drive procurement excellence in their Manchester office.

The company is investing heavily in their global procurement function, implementing a new procurement strategy to improve capability and technology deployment across the business. As a key member of the team, you will lead on senior stakeholder engagement, negotiate with suppliers to drive bottom-line value, and manage sourcing projects across Raw Materials, Chemicals, and Commodities.

The role reports to the Global Procurement Manager, who has been instrumental in shaping the new procurement strategy. You will have the opportunity to shape procurement strategy within a dynamic and innovative global organization.

Key Skills Required:

  • 5+ years' procurement experience with direct materials/commodities, such as chemicals, ingredients, packaging, beverages, or pharmaceuticals.
  • Ability to influence at senior levels in a fast-paced industry/company environment.
  • Prior experience leading negotiations and implementing procurement strategy.
