Job Title: Raw Materials Specialist

Job Summary:
Anderson Knight is seeking a skilled Raw Materials Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, legal, authentic, and high-quality raw materials necessary for our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Raw Material Specifications:
    • Review and approve all raw material specifications within our database, aiming for gold standard content.
  2. Risk Assessments:
    • Populate raw material risk assessments within our database. Where the outcome results in a high-risk rating, integrate the results into the supplier risk assessment scoring, which may further impact the overall supplier audit requirements.
    • Complete VACCP risk assessments following the procedural frequency, with the outcomes fed into the raw material and supplier risk assessments.
    • Create a robust, dynamic, risk-based raw material testing schedule to ensure tighter controls and enhanced due diligence, reviewed in line with the risk assessment review process.
  3. Group Technical Systems/Process Monitoring:
    • Track and report the performance of the raw material specification review process.
    • Maintain general housekeeping and system cleansing (e.g. archiving, delisting).
Requirements:
  1. Food Science Based Degree Qualification or similar or 5+ years of Food Manufacturing experience (Including a Food Safety Certification).
  2. Experience in using a Risk Assessment based approach.
  3. Food Law Awareness.
  4. Computer literate (including Excel, spreadsheets, working with volumes and percentages).
  5. Good time management skills.
