Reporting into the Production CI Manager, the role will entail overseeing a small team to ensure consistency and efficiency of all decant processes, as we supply exclusively into a well-established restaurant chain. The Production Raw Material Controller will be proactively involved in both practical and administrative decant procedures and be responsible for the training of Decant Operatives, ensuring they adhere to their responsibilities at all times.

Rate of pay: £13.92 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, typically 6:00AM - 14:00PM

Contract: Permanent

Overseeing a small team, the Production Raw Material Controller will ensure consistency and efficiency of all Production raw material processes and controls. The Production Raw Material Controller will be responsible and accountable for all tasks undertaken in the Decant Area, Production Chillers and other Production areas including the effective weighing and recording of all ingredients (minor and bulk) in accordance with product and weighing specifications, company standards and procedures.

The Production Raw Material Controller will be responsible for ensuring full traceability of all raw materials, ensuring food safety, health and safety and hygiene standards are maintained. Furthermore, they will be responsible for the control and accuracy of all stock in the Production Areas.

Reporting into the Production CI Manager, the Production Raw Material Controller will be proactively involved in both practical and administrative decant procedures and be responsible for the training of Decant Operatives, ensuring they adhere to their responsibilities at all times.

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Supervising the Decant Operatives in the Decant Area, ensuring daily and weekly work routines are met.
- Responsible for all Raw Material areas being ready to commence decanting processes at start of shift in accordance with quality standards.
- During the shift, identify and communicate immediately to the Production CI Manager any issues in order that they are resolved to minimise production downtime.
- Ensure yield is maximised by assessing the quality of incoming raw materials and the impact of it upon performance - report any issues immediately to Production CI Manager
- Monitor product quality and reject any unsuitable products whilst ensuring waste is minimised and reported accurately to the Production CI Manager on a daily basis.
- Accurate recording of all packaging and raw ingredient movements to and from areas.
- Responsible for ensuring equipment and working areas are cleaned to company hygiene standards and housekeeping rules are followed by the team adhering to ‘Clean as You Go’ at all times.
- Accurate completion of all area paperwork - clearly record corrective actions taken to meet the product specification and report any ongoing issues not resolved to Production CI Manager
- Support Production CI Manager with other reasonable additional duties as assigned.
- Responsible for recording issues and faults through administrative process, reporting to the Operations Manager
- Responsible for reviewing raw material stock in all production areas on a weekly basis and informing Supply Chain of ordering requirements.
- To ensure decant area is cleaned with the appropriate cleaning materials and maintained in a safe condition.
- To dispose of all waste as appropriate in line with applicable procedure (Environmental and Health & Safety Regulations) and endeavour to control this to a minimum.
- To maintain a working knowledge of allergen awareness to ensure no compromise to product.
- To ensure that all tasks undertaken comply with food safety regulations as stated within the relevant food safety & hygiene procedures.
- Provide training and upskilling on decant best practice to Decant Operatives

**Skills and Experience**

- Good Organisational Skills

**Desirable**:
