The Sterling Choice is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety across our food manufacturing site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective quality control measures to ensure compliance with food safety, legal, and customer standards.
- Lead and improve Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Threat and Vulnerability Critical Control Points (TACCP), and Vulnerability Analysis Critical Control Points (VACCP) controls.
- Manage audits, including British Retail Consortium (BRC) and customer audits, to ensure our site meets the highest standards.
- Investigate and resolve complaints, product conformance issues, and root cause analysis to identify and implement corrective actions.
- Coach and develop the Quality Control and Hygiene teams to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and external audits to drive excellence across our site.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a similar food manufacturing role, with a strong understanding of quality control and food safety principles.
- Hold a Level 3 Food Safety and HACCP qualification, with experience in implementing and maintaining these systems.
- Experience with BRCGS and customer standards, with a strong understanding of the requirements and expectations.
- People management experience, with the ability to coach and develop teams to achieve their full potential.
