About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Professional to join our team at Hastings Direct. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with IFRS17 and other relevant accounting standards.
  2. Accounting and Financial Analysis: Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and provide insightful commentary to stakeholders.
  3. Collaboration with Financial Planning and Analysis Team: Work closely with the Financial Planning and Analysis team to finalize month-end results and provide data to external auditors.
  4. Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations and provide insightful commentary into movements and ownership of specific balance sheet areas.
  5. Provision of Data to External Auditors: Provide data to external auditors to support the audit process.
Requirements
  1. Professional Qualification: ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified.
  2. Analytical and Communication Skills: Ability to analyze, summarize, and insightfully comment upon data.
  3. Technical Skills: Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel.
  4. Attention to Detail: Excellent reconciliation skills and attention to detail.
