About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team at Hastings Direct. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to ensure compliance with IFRS17 and other regulatory requirements.
  2. Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business decision-making.
  3. Collaborate with the Financial Planning & Analysis team to finalize month-end results and provide insightful commentary on financial performance.
  4. Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations and lead related control meetings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  5. Provide data and support to external auditors as required.
Requirements
  1. ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualification.
  2. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  3. Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and other financial software.
  4. Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
