We are pleased to announce a remarkable opportunity for a seasoned Human Resources Strategist to become a vital part of a well-established, family-operated enterprise specializing in animal by-products. This organization is dedicated to sustainable energy and is consistently enhancing its facilities.
The primary objective of this position is to formulate, execute, and synchronize people management strategies that align with the overarching strategic goals of the Board.
The successful candidate will engage at both strategic and operational levels to pinpoint HR priorities and propose suitable people management solutions that support business objectives, while also delivering a client-focused HR service.
The role entails providing expert guidance and support to management and staff on all facets of people management, current employment legislation, and best practices, reflecting the Board's commitment to being an employer of choice.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the HR team, which comprises HR Assistants, Payroll, and Recruitment specialists across multiple locations.
- Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive Group-level Human Resources function that supports approximately 350 employees across two sites, ensuring that HR objectives are aligned with business needs while remaining adaptable to organizational changes.
- Ensure compliance with all Group policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate legal entity contracts within the Group to facilitate employment, rewards, recognition, and record-keeping.
- Oversee all policies, procedures, and processes within the HR function, ensuring current documentation and process maps are available.
- Manage segregation of policies and procedures related to HR, including payroll processing and recruitment authorization.
- Establish and uphold appropriate internal systems and controls for recruitment processes.
- Manage employee records and ensure their availability for audit and regulatory purposes.
- Influence the organizational culture through learning and development initiatives, employee engagement, coaching, and leadership.
- Advance the reward and recognition strategy, including conducting annual pay reviews and benchmarking surveys.
- Lead HR teams, including payroll and recruitment, across multiple UK locations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and adherence to Compliance & Risk frameworks.
- Implement effective controls within the HR function and provide exception reporting on control success to relevant committees.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of HR Management experience.
- Proven experience in international recruitment, including managing work permits and visas.
- Experience in managing payroll functions with a solid understanding of compensation and benefits.
- Salary range: £50k - £55k, depending on experience, plus bonus.
Applicants must possess a valid UK driving license and have access to a vehicle.
