Mental Health Nurse

The Mental Health Nurse provides high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a key member of the interdisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with psychiatrists, social workers, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to patients with acute mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care to patients with mental health conditions, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote patient well-being and recovery
• Participate in group activities and implement the PIECES philosophy to promote a positive and supportive environment
• Maintain and advance own clinical competence through ongoing education and professional development
• Contribute to a culture of safety and quality improvement within the hospital
About this Location/Unit:
The East Kootenay Regional Hospital Psychiatric department is a 10-bed inpatient unit that provides a safe and supportive environment for patients with mental health conditions. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality care and promoting patient recovery through a range of evidence-based interventions. We are seeking a self-directed and motivated Mental Health Nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive team environment.
