Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as a liaison to the School Board, providing administrative support and coordination for various activities and initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including Board members, community organizations, and government officials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to School Board members, including coordinating meetings, preparing materials, and maintaining records.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies to engage with stakeholders, including community organizations, parents, and students.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to public education, including curriculum development and instructional goals.
  • Collaborate with Division leadership and staff to ensure effective communication and coordination of initiatives and projects.
  • Provide technical support for BoardDocs and other software systems, including data compilation and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain social media presence, including creating and scheduling content, and analyzing outreach data.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in political science, journalism, communications, public administration, or relevant field.
  • Two years of experience in high-level administrative functions, including communication, project management, and policy development.
  • Knowledge of public education mission, organization, instructional goals, and curriculum practices.
  • Proficiency in using office technology, including spreadsheet, presentation, and desktop publishing software.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and time constraints.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some experience in public education or government relations environment.
  • Knowledge of public education mission, organization, instructional goals, and curriculum practices.
  • Skill in working with BoardDocs.
  • Proficiency in using GovDelivery or similar newsletter or email subscription management system and analyzing associated outreach data.
