About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Operational Support Manager to join our dynamic team at Securitas Security Services. This is a critical function that requires a strong leader to oversee the scheduling and rostering of key operational personnel, ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time.

This role is more than just a day-to-day operations position. You will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of our contract service provision, providing critical support to both our National Operations Manager and Service Delivery Manager. You will be involved in the development of strategies and improvements, ensuring our operations remain top-notch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for operational employee queries and provide timely and effective support.
  • Update and maintain customer information as needed, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain staff HR records and personnel files for the contract, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in managing direct and indirect costs, including recruitment, training, and expenses.
  • Ensure accuracy of operational data, regularly reviewing and reporting on progress to senior management.
  • Highlight risks of significant variances and take action where necessary to mitigate potential issues.
  • Support the contract in preparing audit and compliance reports, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Assist with recruitment and succession planning to maintain service levels and contingency.
  • Participate in contract development and company-wide initiatives or projects, contributing to business growth and improvement.
  • Respond to reasonable requests from the contract, client, and senior management, including emergency situations.
  • Be available for out-of-hours escalations to ensure smooth operation during critical situations.

Requirements:

  • Valid SIA frontline licence.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • The successful applicant will be required to successfully obtain Security Clearance (failure will impact any potential offer for the position).
  • Good natural communicator both written and oral and able to transcend multiple cultures and interact effectively at all levels.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Must have a full clean driving licence.
  • Good standard of IT skills including Microsoft package ie. Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Able to evidence strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.
  • Excellent customer service experience.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in using rostering systems ie. Timegate.
  • Previous experience within the Security Industry.
