Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Shift Manager to join our team at Blakemore Logistics. As a Logistics Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operations of our warehouse and transportation team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of warehouse and transportation staff to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Customer Service: Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained throughout all areas of responsibility.
  • Inventory Management: Control and maintain accurate inventory levels, including stocktaking and checking procedures.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment for all staff, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and improve team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements
  • Education: High degree of numeracy and literacy, with 5 GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent.
  • Qualifications: Level 3 health and safety qualification (IOSH) and Level 3 food safety qualification (desirable).
  • Experience: Warehousing and transportation experience, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of logistics and transportation principles, including inventory management and health and safety procedures.
