About the Role

YorMed Ambulance Service is seeking highly skilled and experienced Event Medical Staff to join our team. As an Event Medical Staff, you will be responsible for providing medical care and support at various events throughout Yorkshire and the North-East.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing medical care and support to event attendees, including administering basic life support and assessing the nature and extent of injury or illness.
  • Responding to emergency and non-emergency requests calmly and efficiently.
  • Maintaining order at scenes, including crowd disbursement and restraint of family and friends.
  • Completing patient care forms, insurance forms, evaluation forms, and other necessary documentation.
  • Conducting pre-event medical equipment inventory and ensuring that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Cleaning, organizing, and restocking supplies after each use.
  • Responding to requests for emergency and non-emergency medical care at events and other duties related to assisting event staff with general tasks that support the event.
  • Maintaining accurate records of requests for emergent and non-emergent first aid and medical care.
  • Handling radio communications professionally and efficiently, with careful regard to the divulgence of information respecting confidentiality requests at all times.
  • Working cooperatively with assisting agencies, including event staff, volunteers, security teams, ambulance services, event participants, and spectators.

Person Specification

We are currently seeking Event Medical Staff of all grades, including Doctors, Nurses, Emergency Care Practitioners, Critical Care Paramedics, Paramedics, Associate Ambulance Practitioners, Emergency Medical Technicians, Emergency Care Assistants, Ambulance Care Assistants, First Responders, and First Aiders.

Requirements

  • Must be capable of performing all duties autonomously and in the austere.
  • Must be able to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests calmly and efficiently.
  • Must be able to maintain order at scenes, including crowd disbursement and restraint of family and friends.
  • Must be able to complete patient care forms, insurance forms, evaluation forms, and other necessary documentation.
  • Must be able to conduct pre-event medical equipment inventory and ensure that all equipment is in good working order.
