About the Role

We are seeking an Emotional Health and Wellbeing Practitioner to join our Worcestershire Family Safeguarding Service. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with social workers to promote the welfare of children and young people, focusing on keeping families together where safe and appropriate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based mental health and psychological interventions to adults, primarily using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) to promote emotional health and wellbeing.
  • Work in partnership with social workers to address challenges and risk factors through a multi-disciplinary approach.
  • Build on the strength-based approach modelled in Signs of Safety, recognising the need to work from a trauma-informed perspective.
  • Engage parents through motivational interviewing and specialist intervention.
Our Team

Our team brings together domestic abuse survivor practitioners, domestic abuse perpetrator practitioners, and substance use recovery workers in a co-located service offering countywide support. We are managed by a qualified children's social work team manager and supported by a dedicated Business Support Officer.
