Apprentice in Facilities Management
Position Overview
We are pleased to offer a remarkable opportunity to join our Facilities team as a Facilities Administration Apprentice. In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of our primary offices, outdoor areas, and parking facilities. Your responsibilities will encompass building maintenance, office support, and service management, all aimed at providing an exceptional workplace experience in a secure environment.
The Facilities team oversees our main offices and historical properties, and this position will allow you to gain valuable insights into delivering facilities services to various departments through the Facilities Services Operative Level 2 apprenticeship.
This apprenticeship is designed to equip you with the skills necessary to effectively communicate with colleagues across the organization while providing unparalleled customer service. A significant aspect of this role is to empower you with the knowledge and experience needed to deliver outstanding support to our internal customers.
Throughout your apprenticeship, you will enhance your abilities in areas such as invoice processing, procurement of goods and services, assisting our reception team, coordinating courier services, and much more.
Candidate Profile
While the Facilities Services Operative Level 2 apprenticeship will facilitate your development, we seek to build upon your existing skills, particularly in communication and initiative. We are looking for an individual who can effectively respond to a range of help desk inquiries and maintain our internal systems with accurate updates on all actions taken.
Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure a positive workplace atmosphere for all employees. As reception duties are part of this role, excellent customer service skills and the confidence to greet colleagues and visitors in a dynamic environment are required.
This opportunity includes attending college one day a week, with the remainder of your time spent learning on-site. We will provide you with the necessary support during your apprenticeship, and your eagerness to learn will be crucial in developing your expertise. Flexibility, proactivity, and the ability to work independently while adapting to changing priorities are key attributes we value. Proficiency in managing data using Excel spreadsheets is also important.
Our Facilities team operates as a cohesive unit, reflecting one of our core values, and we expect you to contribute positively to this collaborative environment.
A valid manual driving license is required to operate our pool vehicles.
