Financial Controller

We are partnering with a successful SME in Burgess Hill to find a talented Finance Manager to join their team. This role is perfect for someone looking to transition from practice to industry, with the support of senior leadership who have made the same journey.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc and regular analysis to identify key business trends and present recommendations.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing the annual budget, long-term financial forecast, and in-year reforecasts.
- Financial Reporting: Coordinate the monthly management account process, including preparation of monthly board packs and consolidated accounts.
- Year-End Accounts: Prepare year-end statutory accounts.
- Day-to-Day Operations: Manage day-to-day transactional responsibilities, including journal postings and reconciliations.
- Accounting Policies: Ensure accounting policies comply with relevant accounting standards (FRS 102).
- Process Improvement: Recommend changes to improve financial performance and procedures.
- Team Support: Assist with the implementation of new processes and controls, and support the group audit process.
