About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Department. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs, including those with physical, sensory, or learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with the delivery of targeted interventions and therapies, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Help to create a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting social interaction and engagement among students.
  • Collaborate with the SENDCo and other professionals to ensure that students receive the best possible support and guidance.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in Learning Support or a related field.
  • Experience of working with students with special educational needs, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A calm and patient demeanor, with the ability to manage challenging behaviors and situations.
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team, providing day-to-day support to students and staff.
