About the Role

Morgan Jones Limited is seeking a highly skilled Project Account Manager to join their expanding team at their manufacturing facility in Kent. As a Project Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing key projects and delivering them on time, to quality, and within budget for clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution: Plan and accomplish goals and meet objectives; think and act correctly on your initiative.
  • Cost and Price Analysis: Prepare cost and price build-up analysis using data in the company's MRP and cost models.
  • Project Scope and Objectives: Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible.
  • Customer Communication: Liaise with operations for lead time estimates and production schedule updates for customers.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate internal business resources and third parties (vendors, supply chain, etc) for the successful execution and delivery of multiple projects.
  • Project Delivery: Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and scope.
  • Project Monitoring and Control: Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Performance Measurement: Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques.
  • Risk Management: Perform risk management to minimize potential risks.
  • Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
  • Project Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Team Leadership: Delegate appropriate project tasks effectively based on team members' strengths, skill, knowledge, and experience (SKE) levels.
Requirements
  • Engineering Discipline: Must have demonstrable experience in a relevant Engineering discipline (mechanical, electro-optics, software, systems architecture, etc).
  • Project Management: A good track record in project management within that Engineering discipline.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Have solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Budget Management & Cost Control experience, Risk Management & Mitigation experience in a similar role, Leadership of interdisciplinary Project Teams, Negotiation & Critical thinking skills, and Problem Solving & Analytical Skills.
