Senior Engineering Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our busy service engineering department in Inverness, Highlands. As a senior manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers, being the main point of contact for customers and clients, and training apprentices.

This is an off-the-tools role that offers the autonomy, responsibility, and respect that comes with a senior position. You will be working with a company that has a fantastic reputation in their industry and supplies Agricultural, Construction, and Plant Machinery to businesses across the UK.

The successful candidate will have experience as an Engineering Manager, Depot Manager, Service Manager, or similar, and will be looking for an opportunity to manage a busy service engineering department. You will be responsible for managing the success of the department, liaising with parts and sales departments, and reporting back to central command and the Depot Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a team of engineers in a busy service department
  • Being the main point of contact for customers and clients
  • Training apprentices and on-boarding new staff
  • Liaising with sales and parts departments to ensure engineers have access to the right equipment

Requirements:

  • Engineering Manager, Depot/Workshop Manager, Service Manager or similar experience
  • Leadership ambitions and a desire for a senior managerial position
  • Ability to manage a team and lead by example
