Position Overview

Type: Permanent

Role: Children's Residential Support Worker

Location: Near Kendal, Cumbria

Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week (various shifts available)

Additional Opportunities: Part-time hours can also be considered.

Sleep-in Requirement: 1 sleep-in shift per week for 48 weeks.

Role Responsibilities

As a Residential Support Worker, your role will be pivotal in transforming the lives of children who have faced various adversities, including abuse and trauma. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating a secure and nurturing environment for young individuals.
  • Facilitating their social and emotional growth.
  • Teaching essential life skills.
  • Engaging in enjoyable activities, including outings and recreational events.
Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working with children and young people.
  • A Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People or a related field, or a willingness to pursue this qualification.
  • A valid driving license.
