Saxton Leigh is a leading international commercial bank seeking a skilled Junior Operations Analyst to join their London business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily cash movement reports to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Manage payments preparation, fund transfers, and issue trade confirmations to facilitate smooth transactions.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in settlement amounts and reconcile cash breaks to maintain financial integrity.
  • Maintain counterparties' information and SSI against in-house systems to ensure efficient operations.
  • Participate in projects for new systems and product launches to drive business growth.
  • Support the implementation of new products and system modifications by collaborating with the Head Office and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Head Office and IT to ensure efficient department operations and provide coverage for other back-office functions as needed.
  • Assist department members in handling operational issues and maintain effective communication with leadership.

Requirements

  • Ideal fluency in Mandarin.
  • Experience within a banking role, preferably in a commercial bank.
  • Understanding of payments schemes, including CHAPS and SWIFT.
  • Solid understanding of the UK payment system, including Interbank Clearing, Nostro account reconciliations, and CHAPS processes.
  • Experience in handling SWIFT operations and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
