About Saxton Leigh

Saxton Leigh is a leading international commercial bank seeking a highly skilled Junior Operations Analyst to join their London business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze daily cash movement reports to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Manage the preparation of payments, fund transfers, and trade confirmations to facilitate smooth financial transactions.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in settlement amounts and reconcile cash breaks to maintain financial integrity.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on counterparties and SSI against in-house systems.
  • Participate in projects for new systems and product launches to drive business growth and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Head Office and IT department to ensure efficient department operations and implement new products and system modifications.
  • Support department members in handling operational issues and provide coverage for other back-office functions as needed.
  • Undertake additional tasks assigned by the Senior Manager and Head of Operations to ensure seamless business operations.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership, providing updates on issues, concerns, and successes to drive business decisions.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in Mandarin is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a banking role is essential.
  • Understanding of payments schemes, including CHAPS and SWIFT, is required.
  • Solid understanding of the UK payment system, including Interbank Clearing, Nostro account reconciliations, and CHAPS processes, is necessary.
  • Experience in handling SWIFT operations is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
