Job Title: College Chef

We are seeking a skilled and experienced College Chef to join our team at Dovetail and Slate Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals for students, staff, and commercial events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef in meal preparation and presentation
  • Work collaboratively with catering assistants to ensure seamless service
  • Prepare, cook, and serve food to the highest standards
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Follow company procedures for food temperature checks, labelling, and cleaning schedules
  • Ensure all food allergen procedures are followed
Requirements:
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Experience working as a chef
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Passion for learning and development
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of nutrition and allergens
