Position Overview

Bicycle Therapeutics is on the lookout for a skilled scientist with robust in vivo pharmacology and tumor biology expertise to bolster our preclinical research and discovery initiatives for our growing array of Bicycle-based therapeutics.

The ideal candidate will possess a fervor for crafting transformative treatment strategies for cancer patients and will thrive in a collaborative environment across various programs.

This role will report directly to the Associate Director of In vivo Pharmacology.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze in vivo pharmacology experiments to assess the efficacy of Bicycle Toxin Conjugates (BTC), Bicycle Radio Conjugates (BRCTM), and other compounds in our development pipeline, including their mechanisms of action and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic relationships.
  • Oversee in vivo pharmacology research through partnerships with contract research organizations (CROs) and academic institutions.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (biology, DMPK, translational sciences, toxicology) and engage internal stakeholders to facilitate decision-making.
  • Document and communicate findings across the company in various formats, from project team meetings to internal scientific forums.
  • Identify and validate pharmacodynamic biomarkers to support both preclinical and clinical development efforts.
  • Lead the management of in vivo pharmacology samples.
  • Contribute to scientific literature by authoring publications in peer-reviewed journals and representing Bicycle at scientific conferences through presentations.
Qualifications
  • Advanced education in biological sciences with significant industry experience.
  • Proven hands-on experience with various in vivo oncology models is essential.
  • Experience with toxin- or radionuclide-conjugates (e.g., ADCs, radiopharmaceuticals) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with in vivo model development and validation is preferred.
  • Knowledge of preclinical in vivo SPECT or PET nuclear medicine imaging techniques, including data acquisition and analysis, is desirable.
  • Experience in managing external collaborations is a plus.
  • A solid foundation in cancer biology is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong attention to detail along with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
