We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Purchasing Assistant Apprentice to join our dynamic team at Clarkson PLC in Great Yarmouth. This role will play a key part in supporting the Procurement Department and ensuring strong relationships with our supply chain partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering and transferring calls in a courteous and professional manner, taking accurate messages, and ensuring they are passed on to the relevant team member.
- Assist with fielding and handling purchasing queries, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Support the Category Managers with daily tasks, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion.
- Raise purchase orders on a daily basis, including credit card purchases, and maintain accurate records.
- Collate and process credit card invoices, ensuring timely payment and reconciliation.
- Perform filing and scanning of documents, maintaining a secure and organized digital and physical archive.
- Assist with expediting outstanding purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing delays.
- Order internal use items, such as stationery and supplies, and maintain inventory levels.
- Participate in internal product training courses, enhancing knowledge and skills in procurement and purchasing.
- Perform additional duties as required to meet the needs of the business, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
