Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Clinical Fellow in Urology to join our team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with our multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our urology services.

Main Duties

The Senior Clinical Fellow will be expected to work at a Senior Clinical Fellow (ST3 or above) level, supporting the Foundation Year 1 & 2 Trainees and providing on-call urology cover during the day. The appointee will be supported by two senior Specialty Doctors and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the urology ward, assisting in theatre sessions, outpatient clinics, and arranging admissions and discharges under Consultant supervision.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a SHO/STR or above, with knowledge and understanding of UK hospital systems, practices, and values. They will also have evidence of training progression, clinical knowledge and expertise, and the ability to apply sound clinical judgement to problems. Proficiency in minor and intermediate urological surgery is also essential.
