About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist to join our team at Central London Community Health Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in the prevention and management of pressure ulcers and complex wounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist advice and guidance on tissue viability and wound care to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans to prevent and manage pressure ulcers and complex wounds.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
  • Develop and deliver education and training programs on tissue viability and wound care to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to tissue viability and wound care.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant clinical specialty or equivalent combination of postgraduate diplomas and experience.
  • Registered Nurse with extensive experience in tissue viability and wound care.
  • Post-registration course in wound management or leg ulcer management.
  • Independent non-medical prescriber or willingness to undertake.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
